to be an attractive vacation spot as evidenced by the record-breaking
number of U.S. citizens who visit our country annually. In fact, more
Americans travel to our three largest cities: Madrid, Barcelona, and Seville,
than any other nationality. |

| What lures millions
of travelers to Spain each year is different for each person. Our country’s
rich cultural and geographical diversity affords a vast array of products
which include cultural tourism (art, architecture, and gastronomical itineraries
and routes), eco-tourism, active tourism (Spain is the second-most mountainous
country in Europe, is home to many of Europe’s finest world-class golf
courses, and boasts one of Europe’s longest coastlines -ideal for hiking,

To help you become better acquainted with Spain, TURESPAÑA (the Tourism Institute of Spain), created the Spain Specialist Program (SSP). The first step of the SSP is The Travel Institute´s (formerly ICTA) Destination Specialist Spain self-study course. It was developed for travel professionals interested in becoming experts on Spain as a destination. Enrollees will receive the course from The Travel Institute. The award-winning interactive CD-ROM and a binder will be sent by the SSP headquarters in Miami. |
